Before rebranding and changing its name, Motive was known as KeepTruckin. KeepTruckin builds technology using the latest advancements in AI and computer vision to improve the safety and efficiency of businesses with vehicles. Over one million drivers and 100,000 companies across every industry trust KeepTruckin’s integrated platform to power their operations, prevent accidents, and reduce costs.” Along the way, the team realized that the problems KeepTruckin were solving applied to the trucking industry and to all businesses and organizations that powered the physical economy.
KeepTruckin rebranded and changed its name to Motive, in order to resonate more with all businesses and industries that their technology impacted. Thus expanding their target audience.
When I joined the KeepTruckin team their rebrand and the name change were already underway. KeepTruckin worked closely with the Pentagram team to design a rebrand that not only spoke to more industries but one that was more motivating.
Phase 1: Building out Pentagram’s brand guidelines across assets.

My role:
Designed and built a system of templates (editorial, organic social media, GSlides, and event design).
Worked closely with design ops and design managers to assign projects, meet team deadlines, and ensure pixel-perfect quality.
Reviewed and managed the creation of editorial assets (5+ white papers, 15+ customer stories, 6 product briefs).
Built a Figma library with our design system for all designers to use.
Built and implemented an approval process for all Brandfolder assets.
Set up Brandfolder categories, Portal, and digital brand guidelines that included UX writing and content rules.

I was responsible for:
Design lead for a brand design system pod consisting of senior design and mid-level designer.
Mentored and trained designers on best practices, consistency, file management, and advocating for their point of view.
Our projects included: organic social media post templates, event design, event acquisition materials, internal events and swag, and webinar acquisition flow. etc.
We explored different aspects of our Pentagram guidelines and looked for ways to uplevel our visual brand while tweaking the guidelines to work with our brand’s needs.
3-4 webinars per month (500+ attendees) This included event organic social posts, presentation design, and email marketing graphics.
In addition to mentoring and leading a pod, I worked as an IC on video concepting and creation, internal team branding (logos, swag, backgrounds), employer brand (swag, photoshoots, and social media templates), and last-minute projects for our executive team.
